Glen Williams, 90, of Indianola, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at the Danville veterans hospital.

He was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Indianola, to Claude Williams and Hallie Goodwin Williams.

He was a 1937 graduate of Indianola Community High School.

He also had served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945, achieving the rank of tech sergeant.

He was a beautician and cosmetologist instructor.

He married Barbara Ann Shew on June 5, 1948, and she preceded him in death.

He also was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale (Virginia) Williams, Don Williams, Fay Williams (his wife, Toby Williams, surviving of Catlin), Jack Williams (his wife, Mary Williams, surviving of Tuscola) and one sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Harold Hance. He is survived by one brother, Wade Williams and preceded in death by sister-in-law, Amber Williams. He also is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
