Ina Mae Young, age 94, of Gilbertsville, KY, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, KY. Mrs. Young was retired as a sales clerk from Finkles. She was a member of Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church for several years where she loved attending her Sunday School Class. In her spare time she loved reading her bible, piecing quilts, cooking, gardening, and canning vegetables.
She is survived by Three Children: Carolyn Pace Smith, Gilbertsville, KY, Jimmie Ray Young, Calvert City, KY; and Judy Niestrath, Paducah, KY; One sister; MaymeBonner of Livonia, MI.
Nine Grandchildren: Dani Williamson, Franklin, TN, Gigi Henson, Richland, TX, Jimmie Lynn Manion, LA, Robin Zarzecki, Troy, IL, Sean Niestrath, Madisonville, KY, Sharon Mitchell, Huntsville, AL, Shane Niestrath, Nevada, MO, Harold Wilson Young, Jr., Paducah, KY, Daryl Young, Paducah, KY.
She is preceded in death by her Husband: Stilley Ray Young; Parents: William F. and Pearl Vasseur Powell and One Son: Harold Wilson Young; four brothers; John Nole Powell, Owsley Powell, Sherman Powell and Thomas Marshall Powell and one sister; Mary Inez Bedwell.
Funeral service will be at Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 30, 2013, Rev. Eugene Powell and Rev. Calvin Wilkins officiating. Interment will be at Briensburg Cemetery, Benton, KY. Friends may visit with the family Monday, December 30, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Briensburg Missionary Baptist Church. Collier Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
