Althea Leech, 85, Brookville, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Brookville Hospital.
She was born March 19, 1924, in Coolspring, a daughter of the late Benjamin Brosius and Rosa (Reitz) Brosius.
March 30, 1949, in Brookville, she married Robert E. Leech, who survives.
Mrs. Leech was a homemaker and a member of the Emerickville United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include a son, Robert Dennis Leech wife Linda of Millersburg; a daughter, Connie J. Smith and husband Gary of Summerville; a sister, Elva Nolph of Brookville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2009, at the funeral home with Pastor Katrina Laude and The Rev. Larry Rowe officiating.
Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Emerickville Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
