Martha Josephine Kaver Wimmer, 84, of Montgomery City, MO., died on Sunday, September 06, 2009, at her home.
Martha Josephine Wimmer was born on September 28, 1924, in Jefferson City, MO. She was a daughter of Joseph and Helen Beschine Kaver. She was married to Charles Herman Wimmer on June 12, 1930, in Callaway County, MO. They lived many years in Bellflower, MO. before moving to Montgomery City, MO.
Charles preceded her in death on February 14, 1006. Mrs. Wimmer was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Montgomery City. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Wimmer is survived by six children: Charles J. Wimmer and wife, Joyce, of Troy, MO., Mary Jo Frye of Montogmery City, MO., Magaret Bryan and husband, Donald, of Holt's Summit, MO., Delbert Wimmer and Rita Eakes of New Florence, MO., Valerie Schlote and husband, Bernard, of Silex, MO,; and Ann Smith of Montogomery City, MO., Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, two sisters, May Deatherage and husband, Marvin of Jefferson City, MO and Mildred Bledsoe of Ft. Morgan, CO; and one brother J.D. Kaver and wife, Sandy of Jefferson City, MO.
Mrs. Wimmer was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, Charles, and by one brother, Joseph Kaver, Jr.
A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Church in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverand Frank Bussmann officiated. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens, north of Montgomery City. Visitation was on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00PM at the Schlanker Funeral home in Montgomery City. A prayer service was held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the Schlanker Funeral home. Casketbearers included Frank Schlote, Greg McCormack, Michael Wimmer, Jeff Wimmer, Pete Frye, and Brad Schlote. honorary casketbearers included Chad McCormack and Curtis Wheat.
