OBITUARY :
CHARLES E. FOSTER, 81, of Barkdoll Road, Ringgold, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in Waynesboro Hospital.

Born June 6, 1918, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Frank B. and Rosa I. (Cline) Foster.

He and his wife of 53 years, Marybelle "Wink" (Boswell) Foster, were married Aug. 24, 1946.

Mr. Foster was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He worked for Landis Tool Co., Waynesboro, retiring after 34 years of service.

Mr. Foster was a member of Ringgold Church of Christ and its Good Neighbor Sunday School Class.

He was also a member of Ringgold Ruritan Club, Salem Lodge 196 AF&AM and Sunshine Leisure Club, both of Smithsburg, Eastern Star in Union Bridge, Md., and Norland Chapter AARP, Chambersburg.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Foster is survived by three sons, Stephen C. Foster of Wolfsville, Md., Lynn B. Foster of Waynesboro and James D. Foster of Ringgold, one sister, Loveous G. Smith of Waynesboro; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Foster was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ringgold Church of Christ, 14420 Barkdoll Road, with Pastors Don Conley and Richard Daughtridge officiating. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ringgold Church of Christ, 14420 Barkdoll Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21742
