Annie Mae Payton age 81 passed away on September 3, 2004. Mrs. Payton was native of Vancleave, and a resident of Biloxi. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at 11AM at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in her home town of Vancleave, where Rev. Tommie Catchings is pastor. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time at the church.
Mrs. Payton was a presser at the Biloxi Laundry many years ago. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed spending time in her garden.
Mrs. Payton is preceded in death by her husband, Silas Wiley Payton, her mother, Stella Burney, and her two sisters, Ruth Pitts, and Ethel Mae Burney. She is survived by one dedicated and supportive son, David J. Payton, of Biloxi.
Care of my mother is entrusted only to the professionalism of MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME.
