Carl Hodge, b. 23 May 1914 at Sherwood, Irion, TX; m/1 23 May 1936 Orvella Ace Banta at San Angelo, Tom Green, TX. (Orvella, b. 19 Nov 1918 at Wilcox, AZ, dau. of Ace & Florence Reed Banta. She and son, Ronnie Carl, were killed in a car wreck near Kermit, TX on 26 Nov 1950. Carl m/2 1952 Willa Juanita Cole Ditmore. Juanita had two daughters from previous marriage, Ona Sheryln & Mary Etta, who Carl adopted.
Carl wrote in 1986, "I spent all of my working days in southwest Texas in the oil fields. I retired in 1978 from Hunt Oil Company. I have a small place (160 acres) in central Missouri at Mack's Creek, just west of the Lake of the Ozarks on Hwy. 54. I might add that I am enjoying retirement."
