Carl wrote in 1986, "I spent all of my working days in southwest Texas in the oil fields. I retired in 1978 from Hunt Oil Company. I have a small place (160 acres) in central Missouri at Mack's Creek, just west of the Lake of the Ozarks on Hwy. 54. I might add that I am enjoying retirement."
