Services for Bonnie Lynn Wells were held Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 2 PM from Southside United Methodist Church in Philadelphia with Bro. Michael Sims and Rev. Bill Bain officiating. Burial followed in Eastlawn Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wells, 60, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
She was a native of Attala County and had been a resident of Philadelphia since 1976. She taught 3rd grade at West Kemper and Bogue Chitto Tribal Schools. Mrs. Wells was a member of Southside United Methodist Church where she played the piano and also played at Neshoba County Nursing Home on Sunday mornings for several years.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Tommy Wells of Philadelpha; sister, Barbara Moss of Kosciusko; brother, Buddy Burkes of Terry; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Pallbearers were Chris Burkes, David Moss, Cory McCoy, Wes Wells, Al Arriaga, and Hayden Robertson.
Memorials may be made to Southside United Methodist Church Building Fund.
