Naomia Vance Atterton, 90, died April 23, 1996, at home in West Jordan with family at her side. She was born February 20, 1906, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, to James and Geneva Vance. She married Francis Edward Atterton July 20, 1933, in the Alberta Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband and by two grandchildren, Lloyd McKay and Kayleen Atterton. Surviving are three daughters and one son: Frances and William McKay, Laraine Anderson, Ellen and Robert Owen, Bruce and Karen Atterton, 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister and a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Burial was April 29, 1996.
