Decatur Daily - April 25, 2000

MOULTON -- Funeral for Luchion Terry, 89, of Mount Hope will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Sanderson and the Rev. Rick Elrod officiating.

Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Terry died Monday, April 24, 2000, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1911, in Lawrence County to John F. and Julia Terry. He was a retired builder and a member of Mount Moriah United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Terry; two sons, Billy Glenn Terry and Donald Terry, both of Moulton; two daughters, Maxine Hutcheson and Shelia Latham, both of Decatur; one stepson, Steve Heaton of Moulton; one stepdaughter, Cindy Flannagan of Mount Hope; one brother, Tennis Terry of Moulton; four sisters, Omie Cross, Mary Letson and Pauline Terry, all of Moulton, and Betty LaChance of Hudson, N.H.; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Terry, Victor Silas, Clayton Flannagan, Ronald Terry, Lyndon Letson, Johnny Mitchell, Harold Cross and Steve Heaton.
