Mrs. Grubbs Dies At Age of 84

Mrs. Mary Jane Grubbs, 84, died at the Foster Rest Home near Braxton Saturday. She was a native of Copiah County, but had lived in Simpson County for the past eighty years. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted from Oak Grove Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at four o'clock with Revs. J. M. Pilgrim, Jr., Paul Moon, and Billy Duncan officiating. Interment was Oak Grove cemetery with Mendenhall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Dulaney Grubbs; two sons, Donnie L. Berry of Pinola and Carl A. Berry of Newhebron; a daughter, Mrs. B. C. Nation (sic Nations) of Mendenhall; four brothers, Maridth (sic) Hyatt of Brandon, Joe Hyatt of Wesson, George Hyatt of Hazlehurst, Elisha Hyatt of Hazlehurst; 27 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
