Mills worked at U.S. Steel's Lorain Works for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed farming, watching football and taking care of his cats and loved animals and his family.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Ethel Slusher; daughters Joyce Affolter, of Wellington and Margaret Taylor of Amherst; sons Ernest Mills, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Virgil Mills, of Elyria, Noah Mills Jr. of Lorain, Michael Mills of Vermilion and Raymond Mills of Wakeman; sister, Tressie Miller of Lorain; brothers Arglee Mills of Townsend, Hubert Mills, of Amherst and Ronald Linder of Berlin Heights; and 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Dora Hubbard Mills; and brothers Orville, Jeff, and Charles Mills.
Friends may call Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Morman Funeral Home, 16 Cooper St., Wakeman, where services will be Friday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601.
