Lisbon, OH. - George F. Heller, 78, of 44402 Morse Road, passed away at Hospice House, near Poland, where he had been admitted the day before.

Mr. Heller was born June 2, 1929 in St. Charles, PA, a son of the late Wilbur J. and Emily Katherine Grace Heller, and had resided in the Negley - Rogers area since 1942. He had been employed with the former Metropolitan Brick, Darlington, PA, for thirty-one years, retiring in 1991. He had also been a self-employed freight hauler. In the 1950's and early 1960's he had driven race cars, winning championships in Pittsburgh and Steubenville.

Mr. Heller is survived by his wife, the former Janet McCall, whom he married in November 1972. He also leaves a son, George F. Heller, East Palestine, two daughters, Dee Whittington and Eileen Schmidt, both of East Palestine; four step-sons, Douglas Lewis, Rogers, Steve Lewis, New Waterford, Chuck Lewis, Texas, and Dan Lewis, East Liverpool; fifteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Tim Lueking, a family member, officiating. Burial will be in Rimer Hills Cemetery, Rimersburg, PA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
