Mr. Stanton Winfred Dixon

Mr. Stanton Winfred Dixon, 73, died Saturday (4-8-2000) in Satilla Regional Medical Center following a long illness.

A native of Brantley County, Ga, but had lived most of his life in Ware County. He was son of the late Rev. Hughie Dixon and Mattie Woodard Dixon. Retired owner of Dixon Body Shop. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper and served in Japan in the Occupation Forces. A member of Life Christian and the V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife: Reba Christmas Dixon of Waycross, GA, 2 Sons: Jack Dixon and wife Janice of Blackshear, GA, Gary Stanton Dixon and wife Jeanie of Waycross, GA, 3 Grandchildren: Alan Dixon and wife Kari of St. Augustine, FL, Shelly Erdmier and husband Kevin of Blackshear, GA, Amber Dixon of Blackshear, GA, 4 Great Grandchildren, 2 Sisters: Myra Fisher of Clarksville, TN, Marilyn Thornhill of Waycross, GA, 6 Brothers: Harry Dixon, Lamar Dixon, Harold Dixon and Wendell Dixon all of Waycross, GA, Robert Dixon and Jimmy L. Dixon both of St. Simons Island, GA.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday (4-10-2000) in Life Christian Center. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 7-9.
