Authorities said a collision at a rural intersection in southeast Nebraska killed an Omaha woman who ran a stop sign.
Saunders County Sheriff Kevin Stukenholtz said the woman, 62-year-old Kathryn Riddle, was alone, driving south around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, when she failed to stop at the intersection about four miles east of Ceresco.
Stukenholtz said Riddle's car was hit by a westbound vehicle driven by 57-year-old Annette Mastny of Bellwood. Mastny and her two passengers suffered only minor injuries.
Riddle was pronounced dead at the scene.
