Pvt Bartholomew was Killed in Action during the Korean War. Bartholmew served in Company K, 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. After heavy fighting with N. Korean forces near Hadong S. Korea, Bartholomew was reported Missing in Action. On December 31, 1953, he was delcared Killed in Action, Body Not Recovered.
