Manchester, Iowa, August 1st--Funeral services for Bert Faust, 45, well known farmer of Prairie Township, who died at the State Hospital Tuesday, were at the Presbyterian Church in this city this afternoon. The pastor, the Rev. Charles A. Hyde, officiated and burial was in the Oakland Cemetery here.
Mr. Faust, son of Adolph and Emily Faust, was born in Jackson County, Iowa, December 24th, 1883. In his early childhood, the family removed to Dubuque County and there he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage September 9th, 1906 to Edith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Kennedy, neighbors of the Faust's. Mrs. Faust died January 24th, 1919, and a few years later Mr. Faust married Anna Anderson of Shell Rock, Iowa.
Two children were born to Mr. Faust's first marriage, Lloyd and Audrey and one son to his second, Delbert. These survive, together with his widow, mother, sister, Mrs. Laura Bulliard of Dubuque and five brothers--Henry, Emerald and Raymond of Dubuque County and George of Central City and Howard of Independence.
