MARK A. LUNSFORD, 45, of South Point, OH, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 4, 2009. He was born April 4, 1964. in Huntington, WV, to the late Walter J. Lunsford & Irene Lunsford Chapman. Also preceding him in death was his son, Gabriel Dylan Lunsford. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve and had attained the rank of captain upon the resignation of his commission. Survivors also include his daughters, Brittany and Chelsey Lunsford; and their mother, Karen Lunsford of Huntington; a brother, Del (Barbara) Lunsford of Casa Grande, AZ; and a sister, Bev (Tom) Carver of Russell, KY. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Heck Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Meadows officiating. Graveside services will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kenova, W.Va. at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
