~ Olin Keith Powell, 61, of 208 White St., Casar, N.C., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at his residence.
~ A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Broadus and Inez Hames Powell.
~ He was employed by Doran Textiles for 38 years and was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church.
~ Surviving are three sons, Olin "Johnnie" Powell, Rickey Powell and Brian Powell, all of Shelby; a daughter, Sandra Ann Powell of Kings Mountain; a brother, Kenneth Powell of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Kay Price of Boiling Springs and Norma Terry of Cliffside; and four grandchildren.
~ Services will be held today at McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Cliffside Cemetery.
~ The family is at the home of Johnnie and Randi Powell, 2331 Washburn Rd., Shelby.
~ McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home, Cliffside, is in charge of arrangements.
