Pearl Nancy Prescott Nolan, 83, of Macclenny, Florida died May 3, 2006 at Life Care Center of Hilliard, Florida. She had been a resident of Folkston for 12 years before moving to Macclenny last year. She was a member of Peoples Baptist Church of Folkston. Survivors include two daughters, Nettie Herrin of Folkston and Sylvia Polk of Macclenny , one son, George "Buddy" Starling of Lawtey, eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Peoples Baptist Church with interment following in Homeland Cemetery and Rev. Gerald Johns officiating. The family received friends on Friday, May 5, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Shepard Funeral Home and request those wishing to make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers are Larry Jackson, Craig Jackson, Troy Jackson, J.J. Herrin, Timmy Harris, Randall Moss, Billy Starling and Bobby Starling. Shepard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
