Robert Woodrow Trotter, 90, formerly of 21 Harrington Ave., died Jan. 27, 2004, at Oakmont West Nursing Center.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late William Griffin and Dora Spencer Trotter, and was the widower of Mildred Goodwin Trotter. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed with Birchmore Dairy as a truck driver before his retirement. Mr. Trotter was a member of East North Street Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday School teacher and Deacon.

Surviving are a sister, Nellie Trotter White, of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five sisters; and four brothers.

Memorials may be made to Greenville Humane Society, 328 Furman Hall Road, Greenville, SC 29609.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel, with visitation prior to the service, from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Interment will be at Springwood Cemetery.
