Sylvester Williams, the son of Solomon Perry and Cordelia (Wilson)Williams was a twin to Wylie Williams. His first marriage to Mary Tyler about 1906 in Scott Co., MO. They had one daughter, Vera Marie (1910-1984). Mary died Dec 4 1910 and he married Altha Adeline Lancaster. Altha's first marriage to James Patterson, one daughter Dorothy L. (1910-1950). James was killed in a Mill accident 22 Nov 1910. Sylvester and Altha married 3 Sep 1911 in Vanduser, MO. They had three children, Margie (1920-1987), Sylvester JR (1920-1991) and Alfred David )1923-2005)
Sylvester lived on a 30 acre farm six miles SW of Elsberry with his wife Altha and grandson Barton Williams until his death in 1955. Sylvester took care of the farm with an old horse named Charlie.
