MARGARET L. LARIMER
Mrs. Margaret L. Larimer died at her home in this city Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1904, at 7 o'clock a.m. of an obstruction of the bowels, after an illness of one month.
Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. George Hendrickson and interment was made in the Chariton cemetery beside her husband, W. K. Larimer.
Margaret L. Young was born in Guernsey county, Ohio, January 7th, 1838. In 1855, she with her parents, came to Iowa, settling in Lincoln township.
In 1856 she was married to George A. Bitner, who died some years later. Two children blessed this union, Emma, who died in infancy and Mrs. Malissa Best, of this city.
Dec. 29, 1861, she was married to W. K. Larimer, who preceded her to the great beyond Feb. 28, 1896. To them five children were born, Frank, Horace, Belle, Mrs. Ollie Holmes of Chariton, and Ed of Albia. They were all present during the illness of their mother.
Deceased was a member of the Rebekah lodge and had been a faithful and consistent member of the Christian church since 1860. She was kind and helpful, ever ready to assist in time of sickness or need. She was a good mother, a kind neighbor and true friend, who will be sadly missed, not only in the home but by neighbors and friends who extend heartfelt sympathy.
Especially does the sympathy go out to Miss Belle, the invalid daughter, who has received the special care and attention of her mother for a number of years, and who will feel the loss of her mother most deeply. The Patriot adds its sympathy with that of friends.
