attended East High School before she married
Robert Lester Ackelson on June 6, 1948. They
were married 48 years before his death. They
had three children, Floyd James, Ardis Diann
and Robert,Jr.

Survivors include daughter,Ardis Diann Cichon;
son Robert Jr.(Merlene); sister, Helen (Donald) Maples,brother, Kenneth, all of Indianola;
brother, Glen H. (Marsha) of Arizona; grandsons,
RJ, Merle and Michael; granddaughters, Christina (
Edward) Waeliz; and great-daughters, Elizabeth
and Kaylee of California; and several nieces
and nephews.

Her hobbies included cooking, flowers, reading,
shopping, her family, friends and her little
dachhund, Toby. Ruth was a memember of Indianola
Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
