Lewis Cross was born at Sioux City, Iowa, October 17, 1861 he married Martha Riggs March 4, 1888. They drove a team across the plains in the early seventies. When they married they moved to the home ranch on Indian Creek where they spent their lives. Lewis Cross died December 17, 1926. They were the parents of nine children, one son Raymond James Cross was killed in the World War.
