Rose Elisabeth Seiler Bissonnette passed from this life unexpectedly on July 3, 2000 in St. Clare's Hospital, Lakewood, Washington. She was the third child of John Geleff Seiler and Myrtle Hood Seiler.

Rose was born December 2, 1927 at Keya Paha County, NE, where she lived on her parents' ranch. The family moved to Sunnyside, Washington on July 7, 1937. Rose leaves her husband Dr. Gerald Bissonnette, a retired Physician and Surgeon, and three children; Anne Camille, Jeanne Lucille, and Steven Gerald and one grandchild, Jerold Jerome Bissonnette. Her loss is also mourned by two sisters and their spouses Darlene Verhey and Dr. Joseph Verhey, and Marcella Wilson and Colonel (retired) William E. Wilson, and by two brothers Professor John Edward Seiler and Joanne and Dr. George Clyde Seiler and Sara.

Rose was graduated from Sunnyside High School with the Class of June 1947; she attended college in Spokane and graduated from Central Washington University in June of 1952. Rose did graduate work at the University of Washington and taught in both public and private schools in Yakima, Harrah, Grandview, Bothell, Lakewood and Tacoma.

Rose Elisabeth Seiler and Dr. Gerald Wilfred Bissonnette were married June 16, 1956 at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Bothell, Washington. They made their permanent home in Lakewood, Washington. Rose was an active church member and former member of The American Association of University Women, Business and Professional Womens Club, Order of Eastern Star, and the Pierce County Medical Society Auxiliary. Rose Elizabeth was an intelligent lady who traveled extensively. She firmly believed that more citizens should spend their travel time exploring and enjoying our great and beautiful United States of America.

She chose Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, Washington for her final stop on Earth which took place on July 7, 2000, exactly 63 years to the day that she arrived in beautiful Washington State. Remembrances in her name may be given to your church or a favorite charity.
