Audrey Jean Hartman, 79, a resident of Harrisonburg, died Tuesday, September 08, 2009 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Hartman was born on August 27, 1930 in Rockingham County and was the daughter of the late Lynward and Ruth Wampler Stultz. She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning and gardening. She was a devoted wife and mother.
On June 21, 1948, she married Wayne Hartman who survives.
Surviving are three daughters, Virginia A. Birt and husband Jesse G. of San Antonio, Texas, Patricia Turner and husband Richard, Nina Reedy all of Harrisonburg; two sons, Michael Hartman and wife Sandy, of Harrisonburg, David Hartman and wife Carol "C.J." Hartman, of Mt. Solon; one sister, Anna Prater of Harrisonburg; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by three sons, William, Donald and Carl Hartman, and a son-in-law, Terry Reedy.
Pastor Bob Talbott will conduct a funeral service on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Singers Glen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
