HUBBS, Elsie Gladys 88 of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Life Care Hospital. Elsie was born February 7, 1916, the daughter of Charles and Gemima Widener. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Elsie loved to give her beautiful quilts to family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Walter Hubbs; children, Orville (Phyllis), Graddie (Betty), Lamon (Betty), Shirley (Clyde) Calhoun, Brenda (Zollie) Bowling, Roger (Starr), David (Viola), Paul (Fonda), Tommy (Joyce), Dennis (Charlotte); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and children, Georgia Fay, Terry Wayne, and Roy. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at Unity Baptist Church, 851 South Elm Street, West Carrollton. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be 12:00 noon Saturday in Sharpe Cemetery, Rockholds, KY. Pastors Lamon, David, and Paul Hubbs will officiate. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, Kettering.
