In about 1777-1780 William Badger was appointed executor of the estate of Zachariah Beal, an army captain. After his wife Abigail's death, William Badger married Elizabeth Rice of Kittery (1762-7/19/1801), daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Rice of Kittery on November 15, 1797. After Elizabeth's death, William Badger married again in September 1801? to Elizabeth's sister Mary (1763-11/11/1819), the widow of Edmund Furnald.
