Joseph Reiman Obituary
Joseph Reiman passed away unexpectedly at his home in Blue Hill early Wednesday morning, December 12.
Funeral services were held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Blue Hill Saturday morning at 10:00 a. m. Monsignor Downey offered the Requiem High Mass and officiated at the grave-side services in the Blue Hill Catholic cemetery (sic). Pall bearers were six nephews of the deceased: Ronald Gestring, Larry Gestring, Harold Linenberger, James Hofstetter, Walter Witte and Frank Hubl, Jr.
Joseph Reiman was born at Lawrence, Nebr. on May 29, 1895 and departed this life on December 12, 1962. He reached the age of 67 years, 6 months and 13 days.
He was united in marriage to Cecelia Hofstetter on May 9, 1916 at the Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence. He was a kind and devoted husband and father.
He resided in the Lawrence community all his life with the exception of the past 2 years. Then he and Mrs. Reiman moved to their home in Blue Hill.
Those left to mourn his departure are his wife Cecelia, one son, Ernest of Bladen; one daughter, Louise, Mrs. Guy Baker of Blue Hill; six grandchildren; four brothers, Charles and William of Max, Nebr., Aloys, Benkelman, Nebr. Henry, Lawrence; six sisters, Mrs. Joe Reining of Benkelman, Mrs. Al Linenberger of Victoria, Kansas, Mrs. William Stearn, Arapahoe; Mrs. Henry Lemke, Hastings; Mrs. Harvey Gestring, Cowles and Mrs. Neal Danehey of Lawrence; also numerous nieces and nephews.
