FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. JOHN LUKAS TO BE HELD TODAY
Mrs. John Lukas passed away at the home of her son, John, living three miles east of Blue Hill on Tuesday, March 1. Her death occurred after an illness of four weeks.
Mary Kolousek was born in Bohemia June 26, 1841 and at the time of her death was 90 years, 8 months and 5 days of age. In 1865 she was united in marriage to John Lukas. They came to America in 1876, settling on the homestead on which John, Jr. now lives. Her husband passed away eight years ago.
To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters. Two children have preceded her in death, a son who passed away in infancy, and a daughter, Anna, in 1897.
The deceased leaves to mourn her death two sons, Joe and John of Blue Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Stobl of Red Cloud; thirty-one grandchildren; twenty-two geat grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this morning (Friday) at 10 o'clock at the Catholic Church in charge of Father A. Reimbold.
