DILLSBORO
Samuel A. Gilliland, only son of Newton and Jennie Gilliland, died at their home Saturday evening after a short illness of a few days, aged 18 years. Samuel was a good boy, loved by everyone. He was a member of the Methodist church, the Sunday school choir and Epworth League. He will be greatly missed in his house and everywhere. He leaves his parents and sister Nellie and a host of friends. Funeral Monday afternoon at the M. E. church by Rev. Jesse Miller of Connersville, a former pastor and friend of the family, assisted by Rev. W. C. Watkins.
