William H. Clatterbuck, a well-known citizen of Harrisonburg, died at the home of his daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Armentrout, at Keezletown, yesterday evening at 5:15 p.m. of pneumonia and heart trouble.
Mr. Clatterbuck's home was in this city, where he and Mrs. Clatterbuck were proprietors of a boarding house, but at the time he was taken ill, he was visiting his daughter.
The deceased was seventy-eight years and eleven days old and was well known among cattle dealers of this and other sections, he at one time being a cattle buyer for Samuel Bowman.
He was twice married, his first wife being Miss. Susan Armentrout, and his second wife Miss. Matilda Phillips.
Surviving are seven children of his first marriage, Thomas Clatterbuck, of Keezletown, Clifford and Ellis, of Harrisonburg, William of Washington, Mrs. Fannie Burtner, Harrisonburg, Mrs. Ida Koontz, Baltimore, Mrs. Fannie Armentrout, Keezletown, and numerous grandchildren.
Last night the funeral arrangements had not been made.
