She was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Kipton and and lived most of her life in Lorain County.
Mrs. Richards worked at the former Pfaudler Corp. in Elyria for 22 years and after retirement was employed at Echoing Hills in Warsaw, Ohio.
She enjoyed quilting, travel, reading the Bible and socializing and was a member Faith Christian Church, Wellington.
Survivors include her son, James Richards of Wellington; daughter, Florence Weitzel of Elyria; and two grandsons and a great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Sarah (nee Berg) Lewis; and brothers Russel Lewis and Richard Lewis.
Friends may call Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m., at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road, Elyria, where services will be Friday at 10 a.m. Pastor Tom Keller will officiate. Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery.
