Rebecca "Becky" Hardwick, 63, of Jerseyville (formerly of Carrollton) passed away on Sept. 6, 2009 at 10:20 P.M. at Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home. Born in Carrollton on June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Effie Shaw Hardwick.
Surviving are her siblings: Paul F. Hardwick of Athensville, Patricia "Pat" Katchmarik of Odessa, MO, Connie (Gary) McMillen of Manchester, Merrie L. Mead of Nashville, Shirley (George) Sills of Roodhouse, several cousins and nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, 6 brothers: Clyde, Charles, Cordell, Bruce, Sid, Henry and 1 sister: Alice L. Isham.
Becky grew up in Carrollton and later resided in Jacksonville at Douglas Terrace. Later she moved to Vahle Terrace in Jerseyville until Dec. of 2008 when she moved to Jerseyville Manor until her death.
Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of Carrollton, Illinois.
