LOLA EDNA PORTER
Lola Edna Porter, 100, of 231 N. College Ave., Rensselaer, died at 6:11 p.m. Thursday in the Rensselaer Care Center.
She was born on June 17, 1885, in Indiana, the daughter of Elliott and Emma (Troutman) Fountain.
She was a Rensselaer resident for 75 years, and also lived in Goodland.
She was married in 1908 in Newton County to Rice Porter, who preceded her in death in 1938.
She was educated in the Goodland Public Schools and was a housewife. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rensselaer.
Survivors include two grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
One son preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Jackson Funeral Chapel. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jackson Funeral Chapel with Father Andrew O'Reilly officating. Burial will follow in Weston Cemetery.
