SULLIVAN - Arvel Richard Basham, 86, of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Sullivan and Decatur, died Sunday (Jan. 3, 1999) in Westminster, Colo.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan. Memorials: to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Mr. Basham was born July 31, 1912, in Harned, Ky., the son of Henry David and Cerena Jane Basham, He married Katherine Bruner May 19, 1934, in Harned. She preceded him in death July 22, 1995.
Surviving are his daughter, Wanda Rickaby and husband Gerald of Arvada; grandchildren, Wm. Mark Rickaby and wife Deborah and Gail M. Rickaby, both of Arvada; Michael L. Rickaby and wife Joya of Salem, Ore.; four great-grandchildren.
