According to the book "Cemetery Records of Knox County, Ohio" David W. Cochran was the "son of Hugh and Mary" and died April 8, 1862 at the age of 7 months. David's grave is severly weathered. Assuming David to be the son of Hugh and Mary (Wilson) Cochran he could not have been born in 1861 (his parents would have been in their sixties). Either David is the son of a different Hugh and Mary (of which their is no evidence) or the cemetery transcription was in error (either the year of his death was wrong or his age was wrong). In any case the weathering of the marker makes it impossible to confirm.
