Mildred Imogene Murphy Best, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, age 86 of Maryville, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She had been a member of Carpenters United Methodist Church for 58 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Isaac Best; parents, W. A. Sr., and Johnnie Rue Tuck Murphy; sisters and brothers, Alma Marie Trent, William Andrew Murphy, Jr., James Hubert Murphy, Charles Lowell Murphy, Rachel Rosealee Talmage; son-in-law, Stephen Reed; granddaughter, LeiAnn Reed.
Survivors include her sons, Isaac Best, Steven Best both of Maryville; special friend, David Mull of Maryville; daughters, Avice Reed of Maryville, LaVern Sellers and husband Jerry of Townsend, Cindy Morton and husband Larry, Kathy White and husband Eddie all of Maryville; grandchildren, Lynnette Reed, Eve Connatser, John Best, Alice Wilson, Jeremy Sellers, Beth Akers, Tim Morton, Tony Morton, Jennifer Kirkland, Brittany Weatherbee, Destany White; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; special sisters-in-law, Pauline Murphy, Jeanette Best, Mamie Sue Best; brother-in-law, Bill Talmage; several nieces and nephews.
