Major League Baseball Player. Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, he made his debut as an outfielder for the New York Yankees on September 10, 1959. For six seasons, he was a utility player with the New York Yankees (1959-60), Los Angeles Angels (1961-63) and Washington Senators in 1964. He ended his career with a record of 177 hits, 107 runs scored, 33 homeruns, 111 runs batted in and a .226 average. He died at age 62 in Gardena, California.
