"A letter from Mrs. Alta Logue at Newton, Iowa, states that the body of her nephew, Sgt. Win. Gilmore, has been returned to Newton for burial. He was killed May 29, 1944, over Austria with the U. S. Air Corps. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gilmore."
