Mrs. Lucy Acton, 52, died at her home in the Western part of the county, Thursday, February 4. She was born October 14, 1884. She was married to James W. Acton April 1, 1904, and her husband died June 21, 1917.

Mrs. Acton was a lifelong Christian and had been a member of the Skeggs Creek and Liberty Baptist churches.

Funeral services were held at the Good Hope Baptist Church, February 6, with Rev. Boyce S. Jones officiating. Burial took place in the Good Hope cemetery.

Surviving are four sons, Ivan, Marshall, Clyde and Wade Acton, and one daughter, Elsie. She also leaves six grandchildren and four brothers.

Sympathy is extended members of the family in their bereavement.
