George Grant Grundy, 92, of Grafton died Monday at his home after a short illness.

Born in Elyria, he had lived in Lorain County for the past 31 years.

Mr. Grundy worked as an engineer at the New York Central Railroad before retiring in 1971.

He was a member for 50 years of the Sebring Masonic Lodge 628 of Sebring, Oh.

Survivors include his daughters, Gail McConaghey of Penbroke Pines, Fla., Diane McCullough of Marietta, Ga., Donna Watson of Marietta, Ga. and Sally Sue Grundy of Elyria; sons Grant of Sullivan and Robert of Nova; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June, in 1965.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Blackburn Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, where a Masonic service will be conducted in the evening. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. The Rev. Roger Herman, pastor of Cornerstone Community Church in West Salem, will officiate.

Burial will be in Fields Cemetery, North Ridgeville.

Memorials may be made to the Academy Court Group Home of Murray Ridge.
