Carl Frederick Day passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Born on November 4, 1926 in Highland, Utah, to Orville Cox Day and Otes Clysta Strasburg Day. He is ninth of 14 siblings, survived by Wayne Day, Dora Bringhurst, Jean Perkins, Esther Smith, and Miriam Greenland. He served a mission in the East Central States Mission before serving in the Army during the Korean War. Carl married LuElla Bennett in the Salt Lake Temple on November 4, 1954 and had eight children: Jens, Jennifer, Jeral, Jordan, Jill, Jana, Janelle, and Jason, along with 24 grandchildren. Carl was a farmer who loved rock-free soil and growing crops. He loved to help people and loved to spend time with children, usually giving rides on farm equipment and telling wonderful stories. Carl was a friend to all, and a stranger to no one. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the old Highland Chapel on 10400 North 6000 West. A viewing will be held at the old Highland Chapel on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. Funeral arrangements made by SereniCare Funeral Directors: www.SereniCare.com.
