The funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel with Reverend James Street officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery.
Matthew was born November 8, 1987 in Rockingham County to Samuel Lee Sexton, Sr. and Joy Mabe Sexton. He was a 2006 graduate of North Stokes High School and was employed with Donnie Bullins Utility Services.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Mary Sexton and uncles, Bobby Sexton and Kenneth Mabe.
Survivors include his parents, Samuel and Joy Sexton of the home; brothers, Samuel (Casandra) Sexton, Jr. and Steve Sizemore, Jr.; sisters, Angie (Kevin) Whitener and Tabitha (Jeremiah) Deskins; grandparents, Franklin and Lucy Mabe; nephews, Nathan and Tyson Sizemore; nieces, Brittany Barringer, Journey Whitener, Taylor Sizemore, Kaleigh and Emmalee Sexton.
