FLOYD HOBGOOD

ROFF — Services for Floyd W. Hobgood, 89, Roff, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m.
Thursday at Oak Avenue Baptist Church, Ada, the Revs. Ray Talbott and Kenneth
Elkins officiating. Burial follows at East Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hobgood died April 5, 2004, at a local hospital. He was born April 14,
1914, at Pontotoc County to Reed Thomas and Minnie Sellers Hobgood.

He was a lifelong resident of this area and attended school at Pleasant Hill.

He and Ozell C. Crass were married June 24, 1933. She died Jan. 8, 2002, at
Ada.

Mr. Hobgood employed with Ideal Cement, later known as Holcim Cement Company,
for many years and was a longtime active member of Oak Avenue Baptist Church,
where he served as deacon.

Survivors include a nephew, Murl Phillips and his wife Wanda, Roff; and many
other nieces and nephews.

Bearers are Charles Bates, Jim Stevens, Dwight Hart, Dennis Story, Dwight
Eidson and Roy Chaney.
