Rites Thursday For Jess Ross
Services for Jess D. Ross, 67, of 411 Third St. will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be at Glendle Cemetery.
Mr. Ross died of a heart attack Monday at Veterans Hospital. A native of Nashville, Tenn., he had lived 60 years in Des Moines and was a maintenance man at the Ford Implement Co. before his retirement in 1963. He was a World War I veteran.
Surviving are a son, Jess, jr., Des Moines; three stepsons, Robert, Gene, and John Brown, all of Des Moines; a stepdaughter, Lorraine Brown, living in California; three sisters, Mrs. John Adams, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Nancy Fisher and Mrs. Albert Russell, Des Moines, and six grandchildren.
