Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock pm, Saturday, November 13th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Good Springs cemetery with grandsons, along with Jessie Hudspeth and Terry Johnson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Reece Goff and Brodie Bethel.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12th, from 4:00-8:00PM and again on Saturday beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Nicholson was born on April 2, 1930 in Pleasant View, Tennessee to the late Bob Taylor and Willie Mai Jennette Nicholson. He was a retired tobacco farmer and a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Hardin Nicholson; daughter, Diane Fain; baby brother, Jerry Ray; brothers, James Albert, Willie Howard "Wimp", Billy Wayne, and J.W. Nicholson; sisters, Alma Moore, Alice Lawson, Maydene Pendergraft, Sally Pearl Hardy, and Shirley Ann Perry.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy Bedwell Nicholson; son, Robert (Brenda) Nicholson; daughters, Linda (Steve) Bethel, and Angie (Ronald) Dixon; brother, Paul (Debbie) Nicholson; grandchildren, Shawn (Lisa) Goff, Matthew Nicholson (fiancé Samantha), Tabitha Nicholson, Aaron Nicholson, Rusty (Misty) Bethel, Larae (Terry) Johnson, Brandi (Jessie) Hudspeth, Kayla Holloway; and 8 great-grandchildren.
