Dorothy L. Vincent, 81, of 3601 Surrey Dr., Owensboro, died Friday, Oct.14, 2005, at her residence. She retired from General Electric after 34 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Albert Vincent, in May 2004. She was also preceded in death by four sisters; two brothers; and her parents, Frank and Annie Alexander.
Mrs. Vincent enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Whitey. She also enjoyed reading, movies, sewing, gardening and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Survivors include her four children, Albert Junior Vincent, Robert H. Vincent and wife Ruby, Joyce A. Jefford and Vondale Fielden and husband John; ten grandchildren, Tracy Cooper, Shelley Roberts, Angie DeJarnatt, Steve Vincent, Teresa Vincent, Toni Edwards, Brenda Ward, James Vincent, Troy Fielden and Brian Fielden; 15 great-grandchildren, Carroll Dean, Aaron Maddux, Andrew Edwards, Amy Edwards, Derick Bratcher, Logan Feliciano, Ashley Vincent, Alyssa Vincent, Hank Edwards, Ryan DeJarnatt, Michael Ward, Jamie Vincent, Dalton Nevil, Elisia DeJarnatt and Nicholas Vincent; three great-grandchildren, Adrianna Horne, Dezmond Dean and Elizabeth Dean; other survivors include one sister, Louella Booth; and one brother, Ray Dan Alexander.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with burial in Fairmount Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Sunday after 8 a.m. at the funeral home.
