James T Huffmaster - a Confederate soldier of Tennessee, was a resident of Galveston for sixty-six years. As he was an employee of Hutchings Sealy Bank for fifty years and a local preacher in the Methodist Church, it will be seen that he was a prominent and influential figure in Galveston's business and social affairs."A Centennial History of Anderson County, Texas" San Antonio, Tex.: Naylor Co., 1936]
